Panaeolus Cyanescens “Huasteca” Mushroom Spore Swab

If you want to buy Panaeolus Cyanescens “Huasteca” mushroom strain swabs, be cautious as Panaeolus Cyanescens “Huasteca” spores are “active spores” which are for microscopy or artistic purposes. We will not complete your order if you contact us regarding the cultivation of active spores. Similarly, for legal reasons if you mention cultivating active spores or ask for cultivating advice, you will be subsequently banned from the site.

These spores are from a species that produces psilocybin and psilocin. For legal reasons they can only ship to 47 out of the 50 United States. Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, and Georgia.

Sonoran Spores acquires these spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner.  Further, Sonoran Spores does not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin/psilocin producing or “active” species.  Sonoran Spores also does not have any mycelium or fruiting bodies of psilocybin and psilocin producing species.  We will not sell any products containing this so do not ask.

Spore Visibility Disclaimer: When you buy Panaeolus Cyanescens “Huasteca” mushroom strain swabs, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visually. All swabs are unique and may not look identical to each other or the picture above. Despite these visible differences, spore swabs are still viable for microscopy research.

Pan Cyan “Huasteca” Origin Information:

Panaeolus cyanescens is a mushroom species of many names. Some of these include “Blue Meanies”, “Copelandia cyanescens”, and “Pan Cyans”. Make sure not to confuse it with cubensis “Blue Meanies”! This species has a very wide geographic distribution and as a result they can be found growing wildly all over the world. Pan cyans are a dung loving species and it is common to find them growing on a mixture of manure and straw in nature. Additionally, they are genetically similar to the species Panaeolus tropicalis.

Huasteca is a region along the Gulf of Mexico that is both geographical and cultural characteristic. The area was originally (and still is) inhabited by Huastec people who reached their height in the Mesopotamian era. The Huasteca people used this species for their ceremonial/religious purposes. The Huasteca culture is also well known for building step pyramids, stand alone statues and sculptures, and painted pottery with elaborate designs.

Pan Cyan “Huasteca” are rare and exotic spores to find and lucky for you we have it! This beautiful strain is great for intermediate-advanced microscopist and might I add great practice for our beginners. Pan Cyan fruits are very captivating as they are not as commonly seen as Cubensis. They are generally a longer and thinner stem with a smaller cap. Once they mature they fade into an off-white or light grey color. Huasteca looks similar to Senguio as they both have a hint of a yellow center in its bell shaped cap, but huasteca is a much larger fruiting body.

Research Difficulty

Light Depositor Specimens that typically produce smaller caps and lighter prints, making spore collecting a bit harder but definitely not impossible.
