KSSS-Peyote (Koh Samui Super Strain) Spore Swab Pack

Disclaimer

If you want to buy KSSS Peyote mushroom spore swabs, be cautious as KSSS Peyote genetic spores are “Active spores” which are for microscopy or artistic purposes. We will not complete your order if you contact us regarding the cultivation of active spores. Similarly, for legal reasons if you mention cultivation of these spores or ask for cultivating advice, you will be subsequently banned from the site.

These spores are from a species that produces psilocybin and psilocin. For legal reasons can only ship to 47 out of the 50 United States. Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, and Georgia.

Sonoran Spores acquires these spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. Further, Sonoran Spores does not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin/psilocin producing or “active” species. Sonoran Spores also does not have any mycelium or fruiting bodies of psilocybin and psilocin producing species. We will not sell any products containing this so do not ask.

Spore Visibility Disclaimer: When you buy KSSS-Peyote spore swabs, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visually. All swabs are unique and may not look identical to each other or the picture above. Despite these visible differences, spore swabs are still viable for microscopy research.

KSSS Peyote Strain Origin Features

KSSS Peyote is a related variety to the KSSS-True variety also listed on our site. The KSSS stands for “Koh Samui Super Straini” and is a highly sought after variety of mushroom. But, this KSSS Peyote is much more new and rare to the mycology community. Nick named “Peyote”, because the mushroom fruits tend to look similar to a peyote button. The fruits themselves are small, round and dense. They do not grow tall, but fatten and get wider. It’s caps are a light brown color with a yellow hue to it and white spots throughout. As it matures the caps will open and flair out. But because its caps open does not mean its a good spore provider. As it is in the KSSS family this mushroom does not really drop spore prints, so they must be swabbed from gills. This means that each swab is much more valuable as this is a new strain with difficult spores to acquire.

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We make and package all of the KSSS Peyote spore swabs in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. Meaning that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air.

Microscopic Features

KSSS Peyote Spores are dark purple to brownish. The spores are also subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on 4-spored basidia. The caps are 30-50mm in diameter with extreme deformities that leave it small and fat, like a peyote button. Prints are generally not dropped from the cap and they are generally poor spore providers.
