Disclaimer:

When buying Ecuadorian spores, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING ACTIVE SPORES.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and psilocin producing mushroom species. Orders to these states will be refused and voided. Any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and should only be used as a reference point. Images and spores are acquired from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy Ecuadorian syringe(s), visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore syringes will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they are still viable for microscopy research. More information on how we make our spore syringes and possible visible differences, check out our FAQ or blog post How To Make Spore Syringes.

Ecuadorian Spore Information

Ecuador is a high altitude country surrounded by large mountain range and volcanoes. Here people discovered a variety on a mountain top in over 3,300ft (1100m) high. It is another classic P. Cubensis variety and is very durable, as proved by its discovery at such a high altitude. Furthermore, scientist know this strain to withstand very low and thin oxygen levels. This is unlike many other types of mushrooms or even organisms for that matter. This contributes to their reputation of being a very hardy variety to add to your library.

Because these mushrooms natural environment is harsh and rugged, the spores are more resilient than most. Making it good for beginner microscopist who are getting used to handling spores. Its resilience also becomes evident in the mushroom as its mycelium moves quickly and with aggression.

Ecuadorian mushrooms grow to be a large 10-12 cm with beautiful caramel brown caps. These caps connect to dense white stems that bruise a deep blue when touched. As the convex cap matures it exposes its gills and releases its spores. Scientist know this variety to produce many spores.

It’s important to note that this strains resilience will also posse some difficulties. They will have unique spore traits when viewed with the microscope. These characteristics may be better for intermediate microscopist, but are well worth the learning experience
