When you buy B+ spore syringes, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore syringes will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they are still viable for microscopy research. B+ Spores Information

B+ is another extremely popular Cubensis variety, and with good reason. The wild specimens of this strain found by researchers are some of the biggest Cubensis ever recorded. B+ was first found growing wildly in Florida back in the 1990’s. The first specimen found was a shocking 16 inches (40cm) long! That is definitely much larger than the average Cubensis, especially in the wild. Few varieties can exceed 16 inches.

Once the genetics hit the market they were an instant hit and their demand soared. B+ spores have always been one of our most popular products, second only to Golden Teachers. Because of B+’s large size, and the fact that it is also documented to be highly cold resistant, makes it a popular choice for all spore collectors. Especially beginners!

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We make all of the B+ spore syringe solution in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. Meaning that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air. To make the actual spore solution, we take clean spores and mix them with sterile distilled water. Then, a magnetic stirrer properly mixes the solution to ensure an even distribution of spores throughout the solution.

Microscopic Features

The B+ spore strain have dark purplish to black spores which are approximately 13×8 micrometers in size. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. The caps vary from 25-75mm in diameter with a convex to conic shape and are generally dark spore printers.
