Microscopic Features

The Z-Strain spores have dark purplish to black spores. The spores are also subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a on 4-spored basidia. Z-strain caps are usually 50mm but rarely they have been smaller. Also, he caps are convex to conic shape and are decent spore printers.
