Pan Cyan “Texas Titan” ISO Information

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research. 

Texas Titan is a variety that has quickly become popular in the mycology community, especially those who enjoy working with Pan Cyans as a species. As the saying goes, “everything’s bigger in Texas”, which remains true for this Texas Cyan. They tend to be quite large, both tall and thick, especially for this species. Due to this many enjoy working with them on their own or trying to cross them with other Cyan varieties in order to create new hybrids. Whichever route you decide, you’ll definitely love these genetics! 

Important Note: Pan Cyan mushrooms are much smaller compared to P. Cubensis. They tend to be much skinner in the stem, smaller in the cap, and shorter in height. Note that Pan Cyans are an advanced species to work with and have different and more precise research conditions than Cubensis spores.

Microscopic Features

Pan Cyans “Texas Titan” spores are jet black and roughly 12×7 microns in size. The spores are smooth elliptical in shape and opaque. In addition, they are present on a 4-spored basidia. They also have pleurocystidia fusoid-ventricose and a cheilocystidida that is 12 by 4 microns.
