Steel Yeti ISO Information

Steel Yeti is an incredible Cubensis to work with as it consistently shows potent results. This variety is a hybrid of 2 crowd favorites: Steel Magnolia and T.A.T. Yeti. While it can sometimes take a little longer than average to show results underneath the microscope, your patience will be rewarded with beautiful specimens for you to study on a deeper level. 

Steel Yeti spores produce specimens that are large and dense with hefty, bulbous caps similarly to that of Steel Magnolia. And due to the Yeti lineage, they’re also albino and the center bulb of the caps often turn a dark blue. If you’re looking for something new to study, our Steel Yeti ISO’s will certainly knock your socks off!

Microscopic Features

Because they’re an albino variety, Steel Yeti has transparent spores. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. They are approximately 13×8 micrometers in size. You’ll notice that the gills are ruffled and also tend to flip upwards

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research.
