Ajax (Cubensis) mushroom genetics has become popular on the spore traders subreddit and is a favorite to many new comers! Its partially because the strain is know for its aggressive mycelial growth and closely gathered clusters. As well as their fruit often being very uniform and densely distributed. A personal favorite by Sonoran Spores because of how easy and forgiving it can be to study. This means that this strain is a perfect choice for people just getting into the hobby of studying spores! 

Ajax has become a quickly popular variety among researchers worldwide! It is known throughout the community for its medium-sized fruits with a long thick stem. The white stem has dark streaks throughout and lead up to a convex cap. The fruit of Ajax contains a mesmerizing light brown to cream-colored caps! The cap expands ripping away from its veil. It then flattens with maturity which allows for it to drop a decent spore print. This strain is great for novice and advanced research as it is easy to handle but a great addition to any library.

Microscopic Features

The AJAX spore strain have a dark purple to brownish spores. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. The Prints are generally 25-75mm in diameter and pretty good spore depositors.
