Treasure Coast Spore Information

Treasure Coast is a great Cubensis variety that was first found growing in a very interesting place! Like B+, this is another classic Cubensis variety that originates from Florida.  It was discovered on the Treasure Coast which is on the eastern coast of the state. Many people do find actual treasure in this area. This is because 300 years ago in 1715 a fleet of Spanish ships were sailing back to Spain from the New World. Their ships were full of treasures when a violent hurricane hit and cut their voyage short. 11 ships went down into the sea, with all of the treasure along with them. To this day, silver, gold, jewels, and other artifacts still wash ashore and are found by people on the beach!

Treasure Coast is one of the most beginner friendly mushroom varieties on the market for research. In fact, they are one of the options in our Beginner’s Set! Researchers know it to have very aggressive mycelium that is tolerant to most contaminations. This strain habitually grows fruits that are tall and slender, but in large numbers. In nature, it is common for this strain to grow in clusters, some even with 10 or more specimens per cluster!
