South African Transkei (SAT) Spore Swab Pack
Disclaimer:
If you want to buy South African Transkei (SAT) mushroom swabs, be cautious as South African Transkei (SAT) genetics spores are “active spores” which are for microscopy or artistic purposes. We will not complete your order if you contact us regarding the cultivation of active spores. Similarly, for legal reasons if you mention cultivating active spores or ask for cultivating advice, you will be subsequently banned from the site.
These spores are from a species that produces psilocybin and psilocin. For legal reasons they can only ship to 47 out of the 50 United States. Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, and Georgia.
Sonoran Spores acquires these spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. Further, Sonoran Spores does not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin/psilocin producing or “active” species. Sonoran Spores also does not have any mycelium or fruiting bodies of psilocybin and psilocin producing species. We will not sell any products containing this so do not ask.
Spore Visibility Disclaimer: When you buy South African Transkei (SAT) genetics spores, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visually. All swabs are unique and may not look identical to each other or the picture above. Despite these visible differences, spore swabs are still viable for microscopy research.
South African Transkei Mushroom Information
One of the most exciting things a microscopist can do is research newer spores! And though South African Transkei isn’t brand new, it hasn’t been out for long. This cubensis variety was found in a southern state located in South Africa known as Transkei in 2002. Many of the specifics of the strain like “who found it” and “where exactly” are lost but the story has it they were found growing on some dung underneath trees. Regardless this intriguing strain is great for anyone!
The fruits of African Transkei are an incredible sight whether in nature or in pictures. They contain a medium-sized stem that is actually pretty dense. Its cap is about average size as well as its traditional golden-brown cubensis color. As it grows it changes into a dark brown and flattens into a plane. It has a strong thick veil that tears onto both the cap and stem. Sometimes they might not even tear! Its stem can also twist.
South African Transkei has the appeal of being a newer strain from a unique region. Making it rarer to find in spore libraries. Add it to yours so you can expand you spore variety!
