When buying Thai Elephant Dung spores, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING ACTIVE SPORES.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and psilocin producing mushroom species. Orders to these states will be refused and voided. Any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and should only be used as a reference point. Images and spores are acquired from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy Thai Elephant Dung syringes, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore syringes will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they are still viable for microscopy research. More information on how we make our spore syringes and possible visible differences, check out our FAQ or blog post How To Make Spore Syringes.

Thai Elephant Dung Mushroom Information

Thai Elephant Dung (TED) is another great cubensis variety coming from Thailand. Credit can go to the great ethnomycology John Allen who has also introduced many other spores to the mycology scene. He first spotted these spores growing outside of elephant poop, hence the name. All TED genetics that are around today stem from 3 spore prints Allen collected from the wild.

Like many other strains from Thailand Thai Elephant Dung is a hardy strain. It starts with rhizomorphic mycelium which allows for strong fruits. It’s a medium-sized cubensis strain with a white stem with a brown hue. The caps tend to be on the larger side with a thick veil that gets left on the stem once it rips. Its colors are yellow with spots of brown throughout. Its beautiful features and hardy nature make this a great buy for novice microscopists and its history makes it great for collectors!
