Disclaimers

When buying PES Amazonian prints, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING ACTIVE SPORES.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and psilocin producing mushroom species. Orders to these states are refused and voided. Any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and are used as a reference point only. Sonoran Spores acquires all spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy PES Amazonian prints, spore visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore spore prints will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they’re still viable for microscopy research.

PES Amazonian Spores Information

Upon discovery, PESA was growing deep in the Amazon Rainforest. Researchers collected samples and brought them back to the PES lab. PES stands for Pacifica Exotica Spora, which is a spore/mycology company based out of Hawaii. PES is no longer around, unfortunately. We can thank PES for developing PES Amazonian genetics and some others you may be familiar with, such as PES Hawaiian. Many view these two varieties as sister strains as they both came from the same group.

When PES Amazonian first hit the mycology scene, they were thought to be related to Azurescens. It was even advertised by PES as a Cubensis x Azurescens hybrid when it became available. However, that is untrue- it is 100% Cubensis. Something that is interesting about this variety is how easily and quickly it bruises. In nature, they will bruise a dark blue within seconds at the slightest disturbance.

Let’s not forget that many regard this strain as one of the best varieties to study for those who are just starting out in the hobby. When observing the spores, you can find them quickly and you can see how robust they are. While growing in nature, they have a denser mycelial mat than the average Cubensis. They also produce medium to large sized fruits, but in large quantities.
