Casper ISO Information

Among many of the new generation Cubensis genetics is a fascinating albino hybrid called Casper. It’s a cross between APE and MakShak (Melmac x Shakti) created by a mycologist called Wesley. Being a direct descendant of two different members of the Penis Envy family, I’m sure you can imagine that it’s quite potent. In fact, Casper has placed in the Psilocybin Cup. 

Typically, Casper will produce large, albino, penis-shaped mushrooms. However, it’s also known to occasionally create blobs. This makes them all the more interesting to study as there is opportunity for different mutations to be expressed underneath the microscope. 

Microscopic Features

Casper is an albino variety which means that it has transparent spores due to lack of pigments. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. They are approximately 13×8 micrometers in size. 

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research.
