Disclaimers

When buying TAT AMVP spores, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING ACTIVE SPORES.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and psilocin producing mushroom species. Will refuse and void any orders made to these 3 states. Any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and are used as a reference point only. Sonoran Spores acquires all spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy TAT AMVP swabs, spore visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they’re still viable for microscopy research.

T.A.T. “AMVP” Spores Information

TAT “AVMP” stands for Albino Most Valued Producer, and as the name implies, it is the albino mutation of TAT “MVP”. It is a variety that stems from the cross of TAT and Melmac (this genetic line is also referred to as the True Albino Melmac, or TAM project). The specimens themselves differ from MVP in both color and shape. They tend to be thick and long while the caps are a grey/silver hue, which is appealing to the eye.

True Albino Teachers (TAT) have become extremely popular within the microscopy community in the last year or so. It’s an entirely new genetic line that was first started by Jik Fibs. OG TAT is what started it all. It was an albino mutation observed in 5 specimens in a tub of Golden Teachers. Jik Fibs then took samples from those albinos and began to isolate the genetics. Soon, it was completely isolated and produced albino mushrooms every time. Following this was the creation of the Facebook group called the “TAT syndicate.” From there, the TAT syndicate continue to produce new and interesting genetics.

In order to provide you with the cleanest possible products, we make and package all of the TAT “Ghost” spore swabs in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. Meaning that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air.

Microscopic Features:

When you buy TAT “AMVP” Swabs its important to note that because they are an albino variety, they will have transparent spores. When spores are clear they can bruise blue leading the swab to appear blue rather than clear. Once you put them under the microscope, they will be clear. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. They are approximately 13×8 micrometers in size. The caps are 20-50mm in diameter with a convex to flat shape. The edges tend to be wavy and commonly flip upwards.

Climate

Subtropical. These mushrooms are known to thrive in subtropical climates places where summers get hot and humid, and the winters are mild. Usually these climates are found between the latitudes of 25 degrees and 35 degrees and the southeast side of all continents.

Sporulation

Extremely Light Depositor Mushrooms that typically have problems with producing spores, either because of genetic lineage or species variability. Typically these mushrooms produces spores on 50 percent or less of fully mature fruits and rarely drop them from the gills.
