We will refuse and void any orders made to these 3 states. Furthermore, any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and are used as a reference point only. We acquire all images and spores from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We also do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy Albino A+ swabs, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they are still viable for microscopy research.

Origin information

Albino A+ is a P. Cubensis variety derived from the A+ strain that mutated and turned leucistic. However, the name Albino A+ is misleading because this is not a true albino variety, but a leucistic one. The difference between albino and leucistic is the fact that albinos completely lack all pigmentation, while leucistic varieties retain the dark color pigments in their spores. Despite this, they the specimens are still a beautiful white to creamy color.

To pinpoint the creation of this strain would be difficult. All that can be assumed is that the Leucisitc variation was isolated and kept most likely for its looks. What this led to was the development of a Cubensis mushroom that has intrigued mycologist for some time now. The unique characteristics of its sometimes inverted cap, heavy sporulation and large fruits has led to the strain we know and love today!

Microscopic Features

When you buy Albino A+ swabs they will have dark purple to brownish spores. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on 4-spored basidia. The dark pigmentation of the spores prove that this variety is leucistic and not a true albino because true albino mushrooms lack pigmentation throughout the entire mushroom including the spores. The caps are around 35mm-75mm and are heavy depositors.
