Z-Strain Spore Information

Z-Strain has quickly become one of the best commercially available varieties for any skill level and is highly sought after. To start, people found the first specimen of this variety growing on a pile of dung on one of the Hawaiian islands. From there, researchers took the specimen to a lab and they began working on isolating its genetics. This extremely popular strain is the result of their hard work. This is an excellent addition to anyone’s spore library.

Mycologist have been admiring the Z-Strain cubensis for some time now. The shape and color of the caps make many people think that they are Golden Teachers. But, this could not be any more incorrect. Z-Strain is very much its own unique individual. They have been know to grow very dense and tall towering over other mushrooms. Because of this, studying them is that much more interesting as people like to see what makes Z-Strain so different. In conclusion, Z-Strain is a must have for any collector.

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We make all of the Z-Strain spore syringe solution in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. Meaning that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air. To make the actual spore solution, we take clean spores and mix them with sterile distilled water. Then, a magnetic stirrer properly mixes the solution to ensure an even distribution of spores throughout the solution.

Microscopic Features

The Z-Strain spores have dark purplish to black spores. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a on 4-spored basidia. The caps are usually 50mm but rarely they have been smaller. Also, the caps are convex to conic shape and are decent spore printers.
