Origin information

Like a little mystery to your spores? Well, White Tail Feathers (WTF) might just be the mushroom variety for you! Not much is known about how, or even where these genetics came from. One thing we do know is it is in fact a leucistic variety. Many speculate that it could have come from the Golden Teachers strain. Wherever it originates from it sure is interesting genetics to collect in any spore library.

As mentioned previously this is a leucistic strain. But if you saw them you would think they are straight-up albinos with their ghostly white color. From their medium-dense stem to their average-sized cap there is almost nothing but white pale color throughout. The blank white can be broken up though as sometimes the center of the caps can have a bit of yellow hue. They aren’t afraid to grow semi-tall and can have convex caps or caps with central bumps. As they mature they do expand and open and drop spores.

The spores they drop give more insight into the mushroom. Because these white mushrooms do in fact drop pigmented spores. This means it’s in fact a leucistic strain and not a pure albino. Don’t just take our word for it get your WTF Swabs and check these mysterious spores out under your microscope!
