Taman Negara Spore Information

Unfortunately, there is relatively little information known or available on this cubensis variety. But, they are thought to have been first collected in the Malaysia peninsula/national park known as “Taman Negara“.

Another rumor has it that they were first introduced to the community by a vendor on Reddit. We have close ties to them personally as reddit is where we actually began trading. So we can vouch for how great and easy these genetics are to work with, perfect for beginner microscopist!

Taman Negara fruits are medium to large. They have medium thick stems with a blank white color. The stems can range from average to fairly tall for a cubensis. Next, they have a Carmel brown cap that contains white specs throughout. These caps can also vary from small to large and expand to a flat plane with maturity. This relatively new spore variety will make for great microscopy work for any level of researcher!

Microscopic Features

These Taman Negara spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) in shape and present on 4-spored basidia. They are also dark purple spores as well. Typically, average caps with lighter prints, ranging only 15-30 mm in diameter.
