Disclaimer

When buying Rusty White spores, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING ACTIVE SPORES.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and psilocin producing mushroom species. Orders to these states will be refused and voided. Any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and should only be used as a reference point. Images and spores are acquired from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy a Rusty White syringe, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore syringes will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they are still viable for microscopy research. More information on how we make our spore syringes and possible visible differences, check out our FAQ or blog post How To Make Spore Syringes.

Rusty White Spore Information

Rusty Whyte is a hybrid of Albino A+ and Columbian Rust Spores which gives a double whammy of awesome mutations. First, like Albino A+ it is a leucistic variety (a partial loss of color pigmentation). It is not a true albino as the spores do not lack color pigmentation. Then, like the Columbian Rust Spores, it drops red or rust colored spores! So, specimens are a beautiful white color and they leave a rust spore print. In the end, its a must have for any spore collector.

Rusty White has also been know to go by “Rusty Whyte.” This is due to the fact that the mycologist PastyWhyte has the credit of stabilizing the strain and introducing it to the community. Sonoran Spores thanks him for his hard work that brings us one of the more unique cubensis varieties.

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We make the all of the Rusty White spore syringe solution in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. Meaning that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air. To make the actual spore solution, we take clean spores and mix them with sterile distilled water. Then, a magnetic stirrer properly mixes the solution to ensure an even distribution of spores throughout the solution.

Microscopic Features

The Rusty White spore strain have rusted red to brownish color spores which are approximately 8×13 micrometers in size. The spores are subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. Rust pigmentation is extremely rare. The caps are vary from 15-40mm in diameter with a convex to conic shape, but they are medium to light spore printers.

Climate

Subtropical- These mushrooms are known to thrive in subtropical climates places where summers get hot and humid, and the winters are mild. Usually these climates are found between the latitudes of 25 degrees and 35 degrees and the southeast side of all continents.

Sporulation

Light Depositor- Specimens that typically produce smaller caps and lighter prints, making spore collecting a bit harder but definitely not impossible.

Research Difficulty

Easy- This variety is good for any level of researcher. Easy to study and use.
