Penis Envy ISO Information

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research. 

Penis Envy is one of the most famous mushroom varieties and it has gained a lot of mainstream attention over the years. This is mainly due to its iconic penis shape. Penis Envy has a genetic mutation that alters the shape of the mushroom entirely. Instead of the standard mushroom shape, they have large thick stems and very rounded caps with veils that often do not tear completely. These phenotypic characteristics make them look like huge penises, hence their name.

Microscopic Features

PE Cubensis spores are dark purple to brownish. The spores are also subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on 4-spored basidia. The caps are 30-50mm in diameter with a convex to little conic shape. Because the genetic mutation affects the cap of this mushrooms, prints are generally not dropped from the cap and they are generally poor spore producers.
