Bridgesii Information
Trichocereus bridgesii (syn. Echinopsis lagenformis) or commonly known as “Bolivian Torch” is the fast growing species of columnar cacti that originates in Bolivia. Their natural habitat is drier and more desert-like compared to San Pedro, meaning the Bolivian Torch does not need as much water as the San Pedro but can still grow almost as quickly. Bolivian torches are highly sought after by ornamental cactus collectors around the world. They are coveted for their beautiful green/blue skin and bright yellow/golden spines, as well as their huge, white flowers.
Eileen is a Bridgesii cultivar that comes from Australia. It was a popular clone to trade within Trichocereus forum which is how it is now grown by cactus gardeners all over the world. Short yellow spines, typically 2 per areole are characteristic of Eileen. However, it is known to not flower frequently which means these genetics are hard to come by, especially in the form of seed grown plants. In fact, it is considered to be the rarest Australian Bridgesii cultivar.
SS02 is an extremely popular Bridgesii cultivar that came from the Sacred Succulents nursery. A noticeable characteristic of SS02 is that it typically has shorter spines than your average Bridgesii.
These Specific Seedlings
These seedlings are 100% T. Bridgesii (Bolivian Torch) but are a hybrid of the “Eileen” and “SS02” cultivars. The first cactus listed are the seeds’ “mother”. This is the plant that had the flower that was pollinated and where the fruit & seeds developed. The second plant is pollen donor or considered the “father” plant. For example: Mother cactus x Father cactus
The seeds came from Misplant Seeds, batch #0739. They were sown by us on September 26, 2021 making them approximately 1 year and 3 months old. They are fully rooted and ready to be planted upon arrival.
NOTE: These seedlings have been under a grow light for their whole life. Be sure to slowly acclimate them to real sunlight if you plan on keeping them outdoors.
To order, please select the seedling number above to add it to your cart. If you do not see the seedling number in the drop down box then it is no longer available. If you would like to purchase more than 1 seedling feel free to email us for a discounted price! Be sure to include which seedling numbers you would like.

I love Sonoran Spores as we are in the same state, not only that but they have never sent me a product that wasn’t top quality. It took about 48 hours after clicking buy for my healthy and beautiful baby cactus to arrive safely in my mail box.
