PermaFrost ISO Information

PermaFrost is a unique Cubensis hybrid created by Dave Wombat with Wombat Labs. It’s a cross between Jack Frost (T.A.T. x APE) and Golden Halo. The first few runs created specimens that dropped golden colored spores, the namesake of Golden Halo, however PermaFrost eventually became a fully albino isolate just like Jack Frost. 

This variety is characterized by extremely dense stems, Dave Wombat even describes them having “a solid clay-like base”. The caps and gills turn a gorgeous, deep blue with maturity; a symbol of their intense potency. Moreover, PermaFrost’s gills stay tucked close against the stem (like Penis Envy) and ruffles around the edges. 

PermaFrost spores are known to be aggressive underneath the microscope, the results are consistently strong and quick. You’ll definitely want to take a look at these rare and extraordinary genetics

Microscopic Features

PermaFrost is an albino variety which means that it has transparent spores due to lack of pigments. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. They are approximately 13×8 micrometers in size. You’ll notice that the gills are ruffled and also tend to flip upwards

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research.
