Golden Teachers ISO Information

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research.

Microscopic Features

Spores from Golden Teachers mushrooms can vary in color from dark purple to black. They’re subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. The caps range from 40-60mm in diameter with a convex to conic shape. As mentioned before, caps with a stunning golden color are characteristic of this variety. Generally, Golden Teachers leave behind very dark prints which makes them excellent for providing future research specimens.
