Peruvian Torch Information

Trichocereus peruvianus, otherwise known as Peruvian Torch Cactus, is a fast growing columnar cactus that is one of San Pedro’s cousins. It is native to the high elevations of Peru, specifically in the Andes mountains. Their skin can range from dark green to a beautiful blue hue. They are prized for their gorgeous long, yellow spines. They can also achieve great thickness, which is another reason why Peruvian Torches are highly sought after in the cactus community. In similar fashion to it’s cousins Pachanoi, Bridgesii, and Scopulicola, Pervianus product large white, night-blooming flowers that have a lovely fragrance.

This now mature stand of Ecuador Landrace was purchased as a seedling in 2019 from a shaman in Ecuador who collected it from the wild. This was one of our first few cacti that started out collection and passion for these magical cacti It has been lovingly cultivated by us over the years and we are ready to share some of it with you!
