We are a small company based out of Arizona, USA that sells microscopy spore samples, popular gourmet cultures, and some common supplies you might need along the way.  We strive to provide the best quality samples and products possible; everything is made in front of an industrial-grade HEPA filter, laminar flow hood.  You can rest easy knowing we do not cut corners on our cleanliness, as we understand the importance of sterility when working on the microscopic level.  All spores are 100% legally sourced, all spores of psilocybin and psilocin-containing species are for microscopy use only!   

Behind the Spores

Ever since I could remember I have always had an extreme love for nature. The business world was something I naturally excelled at, so it was my infatuation with the outdoors that most people found surprising. Despite growing up in a city located in the middle of the desert I wanted to learn everything I could about the world that went beyond the walls of my house.  This interest inevitably lead me to the forested mountains of northern Arizona to attend college.  I studied business and got into hiking the forest to unwind. From there my knowledge of the plants and mushrooms in my area grew and with that, I wanted to know more about the mycological world. 

I began researching medicinal and gourmet mushrooms like lions mane and oysters.  Out of wanting to correctly identify mushrooms, I found out some species need a microscope, and the spores needed to be studied. At first, it can be hard trying to see what you’re looking at if you have nothing to compare it to, so I began researching microscopy spores.  I found a whole community of people all sharing spores and keeping spore libraries of various types of species.  During this time I had been growing some gourmets and steadily accumulating a library, as well as knowledge.  I had developed a very sterile lab procedure and was getting excellent results, I knew I was onto something I could offer to the community.  I finally found something I could finally put my passion to, and help a community I was already invested in.

Since I have found this passion, the fire inside me only burns hotter for it.  From finding out mushrooms can eat plastic and oil to learning about potential medicinal properties some of these amazing fungi contain.  It became apparent this was a horse worth backing and decided to devote all my time and energy to providing the cleanest products available and the professionalism our community deserves.  Once Sonoran Spores was launched with the combination of the purest samples and amazingly affordable prices, I was welcomed with a warm embrace.  I could not be more grateful for the opportunity and support I have received from people like you, it truly means the world.  I treat this privilege with a lot of responsibility and value it tremendously.
