Disclaimers

When you buy Burma mushroom swabs, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING ACTIVE SPORES.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and psilocin producing mushroom species. We will refuse and void any orders made to these 3 states. Furthermore, any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and are used as a reference point only. We acquire all images and spores from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We also do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy Burma spore swabs, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they are still viable for microscopy research.

Origin Information

Burma mushroom genetics were first collected in the Southeast Asian country now known as Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). This countries location is near Thailand, is an area thats known for producing all different kinds of Psilocybe Cubensis varieties. One of the best ones on the market is simply known as Burma. Legend has it that it all started with a mycologist and student in Thailand, John Allen. He either found or traded for Burma mushroom genetics in the city of Rangoon (now Yangon). From there he would create one flush of the mushrooms that would then supply the rest of the world with these spores. You can help carry on Allen’s legacy as all Burma spores stem back to that first flush!

A big reason for Burma’s popularity in the community is the fact that it has quick and strong mycelium. This is great for amateur microscopist as it means the spores of the mushroom are hardy and resilient. It’s not just good for beginners, but can help more intermediate microscopist begin studying spores from this region. This is because spores from Asian countries can be more complex.

Burma Fruits are hard to miss as they are visually appealing and grow fairly large. These mushrooms have medium to large density stems. Along with being fairly meaty, the stems are also know to grow fairly tall, up to 15 cm. Burma is also very sensitive, bruising easily and truing a blue/green color. The caps are conic in shape until they begin to mature and flatten out. They can be 2-5 cm in diameter and aren’t the best spore producers. But not to worry as here at Sonoran Spores we make sure each spore syringe contains more than enough spores.
