Microscopic Features

Lab quality PE Spores are dark purple to brownish. The spores are also subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on 4-spored basidia. The caps are 30-50mm in diameter with a convex to little conic shape. Prints are generally not dropped from the cap and they are generally poor spore providers.
