Disclaimers

If you want to buy a Rusty White Print, be cautious as Rusty White mushroom prints are considered to be “active spores” which are for microscopy or artistic purposes. We will not complete your order if you contact us regarding the cultivation of active spores. Similarly, for legal reasons if you mention cultivation of these spores or ask for cultivating advice, you will be subsequently banned from the site.

These spores are from a species that produces psilocybin and psilocin. For legal reasons can only ship to 47 out of the 50 United States. Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, and Georgia.

Sonoran Spores acquires these spores and photos  from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. Further, Sonoran Spores does not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin/psilocin producing or “active” species.  Sonoran Spores also does not have any mycelium or fruiting bodies of psilocybin and psilocin producing species.  We will not sell any products containing this so do not ask.

Spore Visibility Disclaimer: When you buy Rusty White spores, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore prints will look the same visually. Despite these visible differences, Rusty White spore prints are still viable for microscopy research.

Origin Information

Rusty Whyte is a hybrid of Albino A+ and Columbian Rust Spores which gives a double whammy of awesome mutations. First, like Albino A+ it is a leucistic variety (a partial loss of color pigmentation). It is not a true albino as the spores do not lack color pigmentation. Then, like the Columbian Rust Spores, it drops red or rust colored spores! So, specimens are a beautiful white color and they leave a rust spore print. In the end, its a must have for any spore collector.

Rusty White has also been know to go by “Rusty Whyte.” This is due to the fact that the mycologist PastyWhyte has the credit of stabilizing the strain and introducing it to the community. Sonoran Spores thanks him for his hard work that brings us one of the more unique cubensis varieties.

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We print and package all Rusty White prints in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. This means that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air. We then wrap the print in sterile aluminum foil.

Microscopic Features

The Rusty White spore strain have rusted red to brownish color spores. The spores are subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. Rust pigmentation is extremely rare. It is because a leucistic mutation proved to not be a true albino by rust pigmentation in the spores. The caps are convex to conic shape but are light spore printers.
