B-Xtra ISO Information

Isolated spore syringes, also known as ISO syringes, contain mushroom genetics that are more stabilized than a normal multispore syringe (MSS). Great care has been taken to isolate the strongest, fastest, and most hardy genetics that will provide vigorous and more consistent research under the microscope. Multispore syringes contain a great deal of genetic diversity, and therefore can present a multitude of different phenotypes. On the other hand, isolated spore syringes have been stabilized in order to present only one phenotype which will provide the most optimized and consistent research. 

B-Xtra is a Cubensis isolation that you will only be able to find here at Sonoran Spores! Similar to how OG TAT is an albino Golden Teacher, B-Xtra is an Albino isolate of the classic and ever popular B+ variety. It’s another variety brought to us by our amazing spore provider, Quest. These spores are perfect for researchers who are looking for new and rare genetics. 

While B-Xtra is an isolate of B+, the specimens can bear a resemblance to Penis Envy with very thick stems, especially in comparison to their smaller than average caps. Just something else that makes them so unique! This new variety definitely belongs in every collector’s library. 

Microscopic Features

Be sure to take into consideration that because B-Xtra is an albino variety, they will have transparent spores and they will be clear when viewing underneath the microscope. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. They are approximately 13×8 micrometers in size.
