Panaeolus Cyanescens “British Virgin Islands” (BVI) Spore Swab Pack

If you want to buy Panaeolus Cyanescens “British Virgin Islands” spore swabs, be cautious as Panaeolus Cyanescens “British Virgin Islands” mushroom spores are “active spores” which are for microscopy or artistic purposes. We will not complete your order if you contact us regarding the cultivation of active spores. Similarly, for legal reasons if you mention cultivating active spores or ask for cultivating advice, you will be subsequently banned from the site.

These spores are from a species that produces psilocybin and psilocin. For legal reasons they can only ship to 47 out of the 50 United States. Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, and Georgia.

Sonoran Spores acquires these spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner.  Further, Sonoran Spores does not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin/psilocin producing or “active” species.  Sonoran Spores also does not have any mycelium or fruiting bodies of psilocybin and psilocin producing species.  We will not sell any products containing this so do not ask.

Spore Visibility Disclaimer: When you buy Panaeolus Cyanescens “British Virgin Islands” spores, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visually. All swabs are unique and may not look identical to each other or the picture above. Despite these visible differences, spore swabs are still viable for microscopy research.

BVI Mushroom Spore Information:

Panaeolus cyanescens is a mushroom species of many names. Some of these include “Blue Meanies”, “Copelandia cyanescens”, and “Pan Cyans”. Make sure not to confuse it with cubensis “Blue Meanies”! This species has a very wide geographic distribution and as a result they can be found growing wildly all over the world. Pan cyans are a dung loving species and it is common to find them growing on a mixture of manure and straw in nature. Additionally, they are genetically similar to the species Panaeolus tropicalis.
This strain of Pan Cyan is known as “BVI” or “British Virgin Islands.” Simply because this variation was first discovered amongst these islands. The British Virgin Island are a group of volcanic islands in the Caribbean. Known for beautiful beaches, mountains and various mushrooms. One of these various mushrooms is this new Pan Cyan strain that has not been out for long, so with our help you can get your hands on super rare genetics!
BVI mushrooms are captivating with a blank white in their skinny tall stems that can grow straight up or crooked and curved. Their thin stems then lead to their small caps that start with a more ovate shape and open up with maturity, the caps also have a light yellow hue to them. The mushroom bruise a deep blue when touched, especially the caps. Like most Pan Cyan, BVI are poor spore providers. So we make sure each BVI syringe contains enough spores for easy research.
These BVI spores are (F1) first generation from wild spore prints. This makes them similar to their wild counterparts. While being much cleaner to view with microscopes than a wild BVI spore print would be; this makes them perfect for advanced mycologist and beginner mycologist, looking to study other mushroom species then cubensis.
