Blue Meanies Mushroom Spore Print

If you want to buy Blue Meanie Spores, be cautious as they are “active spores” which are for microscopy or artistic purposes. We will not complete your order if you contact us regarding the cultivation of active spores. Similarly, for legal reasons if you mention cultivating active spores or ask for cultivating advice, you will be subsequently banned from the site.

These spores are from a species that produces psilocybin and psilocin. For legal reasons they can only ship to 47 out of the 50 United States. Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, and Georgia.

Sonoran Spores acquires these spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. Further, Sonoran Spores does not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin/psilocin producing or “active” species.  Sonoran Spores also does not have any mycelium or fruiting bodies of psilocybin and psilocin producing species.  We will not sell any products containing this so do not ask.

Spore Visibility Disclaimer: When you buy Blue Meanie spores, visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore prints will look the same visually. Despite these visible differences, spore prints are still viable for microscopy research.

Blue Meanies Spore Information

This is a P. Cubensis variety that is a unique addition to any spore library. Mainly because it is both interesting and reliable under the microscope.  Don’t confuse this with the numerous other mushrooms nicknamed “blue meanie.” Such as P. Azurescens or Panaeolus Cyanescens These particular spores belong to the variety of Cubensis that many other common varieties such as “B+” and “Golden Teacher” also belong to. Blue Meanie spores are pretty popular within the microscope community, which is why we regularly stock and dedicate ourselves to keeping them in our extensive spore library.

The reason this Cubensis obtained the name “Blue Meanies,” is due to the fact that they bruise very easily. The smallest physical touch or jolt can cause blue bruising that is especially noticeable on this Cubensis strain. Most think they originate from Southern Australia, an area whose climate can sustain natural mushrooms. After this discovery, someone collected the spores and introduced the word to one of the most popular strains we have to date!

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We print and package all Blue Meanie spores in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. This means that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air. We then wrap the print in sterile aluminum foil.
