Disclaimer

When buying Albino Penis Envy spore swabs, be aware that they’re considered “active spores” which are for microscopy purposes only. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING CULTIVATING OR GERMINATING THE ALBINO PENIS ENVY STRAIN.

Shipping is unavailable to California, Idaho, & Georgia. These 3 states strictly prohibit the possession of spores from psilocybin and also psilocin producing mushroom species. Orders to these states are refused and subsequently voided. Any payments made for orders to CA, ID, or GA will incur a $5 cancellation fee.

The provided images are for informational and educational purposes only and are used as a reference point only. Sonoran Spores acquires all spores and photos from outside, trusted sources in a legal manner. We do not condone or participate in the cultivation of psilocybin or psilocin producing mushroom species.

When you buy APE spore swabs, spore visibility is dependent on the characteristics of the spores themselves. As a result, not all spore swabs will look the same visibly. Despite any visible differences, they’re still viable for microscopy research.

Albino Penis Envy Spores Information

Albino Penis Envy is a hybrid between Penis Envy and Albino PF. It is a true albino, meaning it lacks all color pigments, even down to the spores. It often bruises extremely blue, and easily on their own. The current belief is that the blue bruising is the psilocybin oxidizing and the effortless bruising may indicate it to be one the most potent Cubensis variety. But, this is just a theory from many mycologists.

A mycologist by the name of Workman introduced the Albino Penis Envy strain to the Shroomery forum. There he explains his hybridization process by saying, “This is a varietal hybrid of the Penis Envy strain and the original PF Albino selected for penis shaped caps and albinism. It is unclear if UV exposure is responsible for the original PF albinism since the mutation did appear spontaneously. But at any rate, genetic damage by UV exposure is random and is likely to cause detrimental mutations in addition to albinism. So it might be possible to create an albino Penis Envy strain with only UV exposure, but the effect would be random and would likely result in a less vigorous strain… Crossing a damaged strain like the PF albino with a healthier strain and selecting for albinism can ultimately produce a better albino strain” (Workman, 2007).

We strive to provide you with the cleanest possible products. We make and package all of the APE swabs in front of Laminar Flow Hoods with HEPA filters. These HEPA filters have an efficiency rating of 99.97%. Meaning that the filter removes 99.97% of particles in the air.

Microscopic Features

When you buy APE spores it’s important to note that because they are an albino variety, they will have transparent spores. When spores are clear they can bruise blue leading the swab to appear blue rather than clear. Once you put them under the microscope, they will be clear. The spores themselves have a subellipsoid (ellipse) shape and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. The caps are 20-30mm in diameter and have a concave shape to a little convex. The caps also rarely open, even when mature. Because of that, they are very low spore producers and it is almost impossible to get a spot print from this variety.

  2. J

Awesome specimen, great under the microscope. I originally put in an order for 8 different strain specimens. When my order arrived I found a free swab inside. However, the order mush have gotten mixed up at some point and two of the swabs in my original order where swapped for something I did not order. After shooting them an email and a picture of the mix up, they were quick to respond and assured me not to worry. They send the right ones almost immediately and even let me keep the ones sent in error. Great customer service! Will definitely purchase again in the near future. Thank you Sonoran Spores!
